Yang Style Taijiquan is characterized by graceful movements, which are open, relaxed and smooth. Phrases such as “soft as floating clouds” and “gentle as floating river” are often used when desribing the Yang style. Master Gu wonderfully expresses the true beauty of Yang Style Taiji in this elegant performance. Demonstrating each move with poise and ease, the form is as soothing as a summer breeze and as stirring as the roar of the ocean. The series of two instructional disks demonstrates the eighty-six movements of the Yang Style Taijiquan.
Master Gu’s award-winning performance makes this set of DVDs a treasure for any student of Taijiquan.
Disk One demonstrates the entire form and includes a slide show demo illustrating angles and directions of movements.
Disk Two is a step-by-step instruction of each of the eighty-six movements plus the basic Yang style exercises. Two camera angles are utilized in the instruction.
